  If warmed rice has an unusual smell or appears discolored when using your Russell Hobbs Rice Cooker, avoid using the On/WARM mode with brown rice. The bran in unrefined grains can “break-down” when kept at low heat for extended periods, causing an unusual smell and taste. Wash the inner pot after each use. Also, do not leave the rice paddle or other plastics in the rice cooker while it is cooking or keeping warm.
