Why does the belt jump off my Ryan Lawn and Garden Equipment?
    • C
      Caitlin CastanedaAug 6, 2025
The belt may jump off due to a wrong type of belt construction. Use only the special Ryan factory belt. Alternatively, there might be too much slack when the belt tightener is disengaged. In this case, slide the engine forward and readjust the control rod.

What to do if belt grabs in pulleys and unit creeps when clutch is not engaged in Ryan Lawn and Garden Equipment?
    • D
      Daniel RiveraAug 11, 2025
If the belt grabs in the pulleys and the unit creeps when the clutch is not engaged, it could be because the belt is old and frayed, or it's not the type that came with the unit. Replace the belt with a factory construction belt designed for belt tightener clutches. Another reason could be rust or paint in the pulley grooves, so clean and polish the pulleys. Finally, the engine might be set too far forward, move the engine back.
