TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE

GENERAL MAINTENANCE

Cleaning and Filter Care

Clean product exterior, vents, and air filter elements. Do not run without air filter.

Engine Fluid and Spark Plug Service

Change engine lubricant, service spark plug, and drain fuel tank/carburetor for storage.

FUEL AND LUBRICANT GUIDELINES

Fueling Procedures

No smoking, do not overfill, fill 25mm below neck. Stop engine 5 min before refueling. Use E10 or less ethanol.

Lubricant Requirements

Add oil before first use. Check level before each operation. Use SAE 10W-30 oil.

OPERATING ENVIRONMENT AND SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Hot Surfaces and Clearances

Avoid hot muffler/cylinder. Keep 1m clearance. Allow 30 min cool down before storage.

Fire and Burn Risk

Never remove fuel cap when running. Shut off engine and cool down before removing cap.

EXTENSION CORD CABLE SIZE

ELECTRICAL MOTOR LOADS

GENERATOR CAPACITY

Understanding Wattage Requirements

Select items, sum continuous watts, estimate surge watts. Total output required is sum of continuous and surge watts.

POWER MANAGEMENT

Sequential Load Application

Start generator with no load. Add loads sequentially, stabilizing between each.

ASSEMBLY

Unpacking and Inspection

Remove generator from box, inspect for damage. Get help to lift as generator is heavy.

Installing the Wheels

Install wheels on side opposite recoil starter using axles, washers, and hitch pins.

Installing the Legs

Attach legs to frame crossbar using screws and lock nuts. Ensure secure mounting.

OPERATION

Before Operating the Product

Operate outdoors, position on flat surface, check oil and fuel levels, and follow starting procedures.

Checking/Adding Lubricant

Check oil level before each operation. Use SAE 10W-30 oil. Non-detergent/2-stroke oil will damage engine.

Checking/Adding Fuel

Handle gasoline carefully. Fill outdoors with engine off. Fill to 25mm below neck. Use unleaded gasoline (E10 or less).

ETHANOL FUELS

Fuel Compatibility Warning

Do not use E15 or E85 fuel. Only E10 or less ethanol gasoline is acceptable. Damages product and voids warranty.

AC OPERATION

Connecting Appliances

Unplug loads, switch breakers off, start engine, switch breakers on, plug in appliance. Stabilize generator.

STARTING THE ENGINE

Engine Start Procedure

Check oil, turn fuel valve ON, move choke to START, turn engine switch ON, pull starter grip. Allow engine to run 30s, move choke to RUN.

STOPPING THE ENGINE

Normal Shutdown

Remove load, turn engine switch OFF, turn fuel valve OFF.

Emergency Shutdown

In emergency, put engine switch in OFF (O) position.

USING THE GENERATOR

Connecting Loads Sequentially

Ensure generator capacity is sufficient. Start generator with no load. Add loads sequentially, stabilizing between each.

MOVING THE GENERATOR

Safe Moving Procedure

Remove load, turn switch OFF, close fuel valve, ensure engine is cool. Unfold handle, lift carefully onto wheels.

SPARK PLUG MAINTENANCE

Spark Plug Servicing

Check gap, clean or replace spark plug. Ensure proper tightening to avoid engine damage.

DRAINING FUEL TANK/CARBURETOR

Fuel System Draining for Storage

Drain fuel from tank and carburetor before storage to prevent gum deposits. Dispose fuel properly.

STORING THE PRODUCT

PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS
