The fire doesn’t burn well
Damp wood
Use dry wood (moisture content ≤20%)
Inappropriate fuel
Only use recommended fuels
Poor chimney draught (min 10 Pa)
 Check the air-tightness of the flue
 Close the chimney’s cleaning hatches
 Clean the flue
Insufficient combustion air
 Check diameter flue outlet and supply of
combustion air
 Check if extractor fans are operating in the
same room
Glass blackens quickly
Damp wood
Use dry wood (moisture content ≤20%)
Inappropriate fuel
Only use recommended fuels
Filled too much wood
Do not fill more than 2-3 wood logs
Insufficient combustion air
 Check diameter flue outlet and supply of
combustion air
 Check if extractor fans are operating in the
same room
A strange odour and smoke
develops during first use
Baking in of the paint
The odour and smoke will dissapear after a while
Condensation
High difference in temperature
Open the door for 2-3 min when lighting the fire.
Do not leave the fire unattended!
