What to do if my Saitek Aria computer doesn’t react or freezes during the game?
    • K
      kara82Jul 29, 2025
If your Saitek Toy freezes during a game, there might be a few reasons. First, ensure the batteries are correctly installed as shown in section 1.1. If they are, the batteries may be weak or bad, so try replacing them. Also, a static discharge or electrical disturbance may have caused a lock-up. In that case, press into the hole marked ACL, as described in Section 1.1.

What to do if my Saitek Aria Toy computer will not accept my move?
    • J
      Jamie DavilaAug 6, 2025
If the Saitek Toy computer doesn't accept your move, several factors could be at play. First, ensure you are familiar with the chess rules. Consider if it is your turn, if your King is in check, or if your move would put your King in check. Also, consider whether you moved the Rook first when castling or if you are moving to an illegal square. Use TAKE BACK to reconstruct the last move that was made. Alternatively, the computer may be thinking; press PLAY to interrupt it. Finally, check the displayed move, as you may have entered the computer’s last move incorrectly by pressing the wrong from or to square. If so, press the correct square to complete the computer’s move.

Why won't my Saitek Aria computer play a move?
    • J
      julie17Aug 11, 2025
If your Saitek Toy computer will not play a move, it might be because you are on one of the higher levels, where the computer thinks for a longer time. You can interrupt the computer and force it to make a move by pressing PLAY.

Why doesn't my Saitek Aria Toy computer show the chess clock on my turn to move?
    • W
      wardbenjaminAug 20, 2025
If your Saitek Toy computer isn’t showing the chess clock on your turn, it may be because the chess clock has been switched off. Press CLOCK to turn the chess clock on when it is your turn to move. Alternatively, if you have taken back a move and no more can be taken back, or if your King is in check, this is normal, and you should continue to play.

What to do if Saitek Toy computer seems to be making illegal moves?
    • F
      Frank GuerreroAug 23, 2025
If the Saitek Toy computer seems to be making illegal moves, it's possible the computer has made a special move, such as en passant, castle, or pawn promotion, so review the chess rules and use TAKE BACK to reconstruct the last move. It is also possible that your board position is incorrect. Verify the board (see Section 3.3).
