TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE/SOLUTIONS
Vibrations Place Cellar on a level surface
The door will not close properly The appliance is not level.
The gasket is dirty.
The racks are out of position.
Wine Cellar doesn’t have power Check if the Wine Cellar is plugged in.
Check if there is power at the AC outlet by
checking the circuit breaker or fuse.
Ensure that the outlet is not controlled by a
wall switch.
Fan runs constantly The room temperature is hotter than normal.
The door is opened too often.
The door is not closed completely.
The door gasket does not seal properly.
Cellar interior temperature Room temperature is above 25°C (77°F)
does not seem correct Ensure that the cooling vents on the sides
and back of the Cellar are not obstructed.
Unit is not designed to cool more than 18°C
(32°F) below the ambient temperature
When first plugged in it can take up to 24
hours to reach the desired temperature.
There is a puddle of water The humidity in the room is too high. Either
under/around the base try to lower the humidity or place the Wine
Cellar in another location.
Cellar is ON but not cooling Make sure that there are at least 3-5 bottles
in the unit. Allow at least 24 hours for the desired
internal temperature to be reached
To achieve accurate temperature control,
the Cellar should not be operated in the
following locations:
- In direct sunlight
- In a room with poor air circulation, such
as a garage
- Near a heat producing appliance (dish
washer, oven, etc.).
- Plugged into an outlet shared with a
refrigerator
- Built into a wall recess or niche; closet or
cabinet.
