If chips accumulate and interfere with operation, it can
be danger by discharge of chuck or workpiece due to
reduced gripping power. If a lot of chips accumulate,
machine the lower part of the top jaw to allow the
chips to drain smoothly.
After machining, remove the chips accumu-
lated between the top jaw and the chuck
body with an air gun, etc.
