Why does my Samlexpower Inverter AC output shut down and the red overload LED is on?
    • R
      Raymond SolomonAug 13, 2025
The AC output may shut down completely, the red overload LED lights up, and the buzzer sounds because of a continuous overload (110% to 115% for 2 to 2.5 seconds) or a short circuit on the AC load circuit (AC output voltage at 80VAC or lower for 1 to 1.5 seconds). To solve this: * Reduce the load or remove the short circuit. * If the load requires higher power, use an inverter with a higher power rating. To reset the inverter, switch it OFF, wait 3 minutes, and then switch it ON again. Ensure the cause of the shutdown is removed before switching it back on.

What to do if my Samlexpower Inverter has no AC output and the GFCI green light is off?
    • D
      David TrujilloAug 17, 2025
If your Samlexpower Inverter has no AC output, but the green LED is lit and the GFCI green light is off, it means the GFCI has tripped due to leakage or a neutral-to-ground bond on the load side. Check the load side circuits for leakage or neutral-to-ground bonding and correct the issue. Then, press the "Reset Button" on the GFCI to reset it. Make sure the inverter is ON before resetting the GFCI.

How to fix Samlexpower Inverter if there is no AC output and the over temp LED is on?
    • M
      Maria DorseyAug 20, 2025
If your Samlexpower Inverter has no AC output, the red "OVER TEMP" LED is lit, and the buzzer is sounding, it indicates a shutdown due to over temperature. This can be caused by fan failure or inadequate cooling because of high ambient temperature or insufficient air exchange. Here’s what to do: * Verify that the fans are working. If not, the fan control circuit may be defective and you should call Technical Support. * If the fans are working, ensure that the ventilation slots and openings are not obstructed. * Confirm that enough cool replacement air is available and that the ambient air temperature is less than 40ºC. * Reduce the load to decrease the heating effect. After addressing the cause of overheating and the unit cools down, it will reset automatically.

Why is my Samlexpower PST-3000-12 Inverter beeping with no load when I turn on the load?
    • K
      Karen Palmer MDAug 25, 2025
The buzzer alarm sounds on your Samlexpower Inverter when the load is switched on, while the green "POWER" LED is lit and the GFCI indication light is green, it indicates a low DC input voltage alarm. This occurs when the DC input voltage is 10.7V or lower (but > 10V ± 0.1V for PST-3000-12) or 21.4V ± 0.2V or lower (but > 20V ± 0.2V for PST-3000-24). To resolve this: * Check that the battery is fully charged. Recharge if it's low. * Ensure the battery cables are thick enough to carry the required current for the distance needed; use thicker cables if necessary. * Tighten all connections in the battery input circuit.

What to do if my Samlexpower PST-3000-12 Inverter has no AC output and is beeping?
    • D
      Daniel BeckerAug 27, 2025
If your Samlexpower Inverter has no AC output, the buzzer is sounding, the green "POWER" LED is lit, and the GFCI green light is off, it indicates that the AC output voltage has been shut down due to low DC input voltage. This happens when the DC input voltage is 10V ± 0.1V or lower for PST-3000-12, or 20V ± 0.2V or lower for PST-3000-24. Solutions include: * Check that the battery is fully charged and recharge if necessary. * Ensure the battery cables are thick enough for the current and length required; use thicker cables if needed. * Tighten the connections of the battery input circuit. The AC output voltage will automatically switch back on when the DC input voltage rises to 11.5V ± 0.1V or higher for PST-3000-12, or 23V ± 0.2V or higher for PST-3000-24.

Why Samlexpower PST-3000-12 is not working when switched on?
    • Y
      youngkellySep 1, 2025
If your Samlexpower Inverter doesn't turn on (no green "POWER" LED, buzzer off, no AC output, GFCI light off), it could be due to: * No voltage at the DC input terminals: Check the continuity of the battery input circuit, ensure the battery fuses are intact (replace if blown), and verify all connections in the battery input circuit are tight. * Reversed DC input voltage polarity: Check external and internal fuses. Replace them if blown. If it still doesn't work, call Technical Support for repair.

Why Samlexpower PST-3000-12 Inverter shuts down due to high DC voltage?
    • S
      Steven WilliamsSep 4, 2025
The Samlexpower Inverter may shut down with no AC output, the buzzer on, and the green "POWER" LED lit because of high input DC voltage (16.5V or higher for PST-3000-12 and 33V or higher for PST-3000-24). To resolve this: * Check that the voltage at the DC input terminals is less than 16.5V for PST-3000-12 and less than 33V for PST-3000-24. * Ensure the maximum charging voltage of the battery charger, alternator, or solar charge controller is below 16.5V for PST-3000-12 and below 33V for PST-3000-24. * If using a solar panel, use a charge controller between the solar panel and the battery. The unit will automatically reset when the voltage drops to < 16.5V for PST-3000-12 or < 33V for PST-3000-24.

How to troubleshoot low AC output voltage on Samlexpower Inverter?
    • T
      Tristan WilliamsSep 8, 2025
A low AC output voltage (without a buzzer alarm) on your Samlexpower Inverter can be caused by the AC load exceeding 200% surge overload or approaching 200% surge overload during lower DC input voltage. To resolve this: * Ensure the battery is fully charged. Recharge if necessary. * Check that the battery cables are thick enough to carry the required current over the required length. Use thicker cables if needed. * Tighten all connections of the battery input circuit. * Reduce the load.
