What to do if the SamplexPower SEC-1235 Power Supply DC output voltage drops?
    • W
      wcollierJul 27, 2025
If the ON/OFF switch is ON, the switch is lighted, and the DC output voltage drops, it could be due to several reasons: * The unit is overloaded and in current limit because the voltage loses regulation and drops to below 13.5V. To resolve this, reduce the current drawn by the load to less than 30A, switch OFF the load, and remove any short circuits. * A short circuit on the load side can cause a considerable voltage drop to below 2V. Address this by reducing the load current, switching OFF the load, and eliminating the short circuit. * An incorrect AC input voltage setting (230 VAC) with an actual input of 120 VAC can also lead to voltage drops. Make sure the AC input voltage setting is set to 120 VAC.

How to troubleshoot a SamplexPower SEC-1235 Power Supply with no DC output and the switch is not lighted?
    • L
      Lori SmithAug 4, 2025
If the ON/OFF switch is ON but not lighted, and there's no DC output from your SamplexPower Power Supply, it could be due to: * No AC power from the AC outlet. Check that AC power is available at the outlet and that the breaker hasn't tripped. Also, inspect the AC side fuse inside the unit and replace it if it's blown. If the fuse blows again, the input section might be damaged, and you should contact Tech Support. * A blown internal AC side fuse. You should check if AC power is available at the outlet and that the breaker hasn't tripped. Also, inspect the AC side fuse inside the unit and replace it if it's blown. If the fuse blows again, the input section might be damaged, and you should contact Tech Support.

Why does my SamplexPower SEC-1235 trip the GFCI outlet when switched on?
    • K

If the GFCI outlet or breaker trips when you switch ON the SamplexPower Power Supply, it's likely due to additional RF noise currents increasing the leakage current. To solve this: * Try switching OFF other SMPS devices on the same GFCI outlet to reduce the total leakage current. * Move the unit to a different GFCI outlet with fewer SMPS loads or no SMPS loads. * Alternatively, power the unit from a normal, non-GFCI outlet.

What to do if SamplexPower SEC-1235 Power Supply has no DC output but the switch is lighted?
    • A
      April WilsonAug 18, 2025
If the ON/OFF switch is ON and lighted, but there is no DC output from the SamplexPower Power Supply, the unit may have shut down due to over temperature. Ensure the fan is running. If the fan isn't working, the fan or its control circuit may be damaged, so contact Tech Support. Also, check that the fan suction vents on the sides and the discharge vents on the bottom are not blocked. The unit will automatically reset once the transformer windings cool down to approximately 75°C.
