Starting the recording mode
[ Night mode ] [ Portrait mode ] [ Children mode ]
ƈ Night / Portrait / Children mode
Rotate the mode dial to select a desired mode.
- Night mode : Use this for still images at night or in other dark conditions
- Portrait mode : To take a picture of a person
- Children mode : To take a still picture of moving children
ƈ How to use the SCENE mode ( )
Use the menu to easily configure optimal settings for
a variety of shooting situations. These include
LANDSCAPE, CLOSE UP, SUNSET, DAWN,
BACKLIGHT, FIREWORKS and BEACH & SNOW
scenes.
1. Select the SCENE mode by rotating the mode dial.
2. Press the menu button and select a desired
scene menu.
[ SCENE mode ]
ſThe scene modes are listed below.
[Landscape] ( ) : To take pictures of distant scenery.
[Close up] ( ) : Close-up shooting for small objects such as plants
and insects.
[Sunset] ( ) : For taking pictures of sunsets.
[Dawn] ( ) : Daybreak scenes.
[Backlight] ( ) : Portrait without shadows caused by backlight.
[FIirework] ( ) : Firework scenes.
[Beach&Snow] ( ) : For ocean, lake, beach and snowscape scenes.
