Usage Features
The dryer offers a range of cycles and options accessible via a control panel with a cycle selector dial and various buttons.
Cycles:
- Sensor Dry cycles: NORMAL, HEAVY DUTY, BEDDING, SANITIZE, PERM PRESS, WOOL, DELICATES, ACTIVE WEAR. These cycles automatically detect moisture and shut off when the selected dryness level is reached (Very Dry to Damp Dry).
- NORMAL: For cottons, work clothes, linen, mixed loads.
- HEAVY DUTY: For heavy fabrics like jeans, corduroys.
- BEDDING: For bulky items such as blankets, sheets, comforters, pillows.
- SANITIZE: Infuses high-temperature heat to sanitize garments.
- PERM PRESS: For wrinkle-free cottons, synthetics, knits.
- WOOL: For machine washable and tumble dryable wool (max 3lb).
- DELICATES: For heat-sensitive items at a low drying temperature.
- ACTIVE WEAR: For water-repellent wear, performance clothes (max 4lb).
- Manual Dry cycles: QUICK DRY, TIME DRY, AIR FLUFF, WRINKLE RELEASE, REFRESH.
- QUICK DRY: Provides a 30-minute drying cycle for small loads.
- TIME DRY: Allows manual selection of drying time.
- AIR FLUFF: Tumbles load in room temperature air for foam, rubber, plastic.
- WRINKLE RELEASE: Releases wrinkles from clean, dry, slightly wrinkled items using steam.
- REFRESH: Smooths out wrinkles and reduces odors from dry items using steam.
Cycle Options:
- Dry Level: Adjusts dryness from Very Dry to Damp Dry for Sensor Dry cycles.
- Temp.: Adjusts temperature (High, Medium, Med Low, Low, Extra Low) for NORMAL and TIME DRY cycles.
- Time: Adjusts drying time for Manual Dry cycles.
- Anti Static (Steam model only): Reduces static by spraying steam at the end of the drying cycle. Available for NORMAL, HEAVY DUTY, PERM PRESS, DELICATES, and TIME DRY.
- Rack Dry (applicable models only): Allows drying items on a rack at Extra Low temperature (TIME DRY cycle) or AIR FLUFF.
- Mixed Load Bell: Notifies when the average dry level in a load is damp dry (80% dried). Available for all Sensor Dry cycles except WOOL, SANITIZE.
- Wrinkle Prevent: Provides 180 minutes of intermittent tumbling in unheated air to reduce wrinkling.
- My Cycle: Allows saving and recalling preferred cycle settings.
