This document is a user manual for a Samsung Dishwasher, specifically the DW607*** Series. It provides comprehensive information on installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Function Description
The Samsung Dishwasher is designed for domestic use to clean crockery and cutlery. It offers various wash cycles tailored to different levels of soiling and item types, including options for intensive cleaning, delicate items, and energy-efficient washing. The appliance can be connected to the SmartThings app for remote monitoring and control, offering features like checking washing status, monitoring energy consumption, and setting delay starts. It also includes an Aqua Stop system for water leak prevention.
Important Technical Specifications
The dishwasher operates on a 220-240 V~, 50 Hz power supply. Water pressure should be between 0.05 and 0.8 MPa, and water temperature should not exceed 60 °C. It has a wash capacity of 15 place settings and a rated power of 2000-2300 W. Dimensions vary slightly by model type:
- DW60*B750F** (Free Standing Bespoke) / DW60*G750F** (Free Standing): 598 x 600 x 845 mm (Width x Depth x Height), with unpacked weights of 54.5 kg and 58.5 kg (packed).
- DW60*G750S** (Semi Built-in) / DW60*G750U** (Built under): 595 x 572 x 815 mm (Width x Depth x Height), with unpacked weights of 40.5 kg and 41 kg, and packed weights of 44.0 kg and 44.5 kg respectively.
The Wi-Fi module operates on a frequency range of 2412 MHz - 2472 MHz with a maximum transmitter power of 20 dBm. The overall standby power consumption is 2.0 W when all network ports are in "on" condition.
Usage Features
The dishwasher features a control panel with buttons for Power, Cycle selection (AUTO, ECO, Intensive, Delicate, Express, Pre Wash, Extra Silence, Machine Care, Download Course), Half Load, Speed Booster, Hygiene Plus, Smart Control, Delay Start, and START (Cancel & Drain).
Cycles and Options:
- AUTO: Detects soil level and automatically selects the optimal cycle (55°-62°C).
- ECO: Reduces power and water consumption for normally soiled items (49°C).
- Intensive: For heavily soiled items (65°C).
- Delicate: For lightly soiled, fragile items like glasses (50°C). Hygiene Plus is not available with this cycle.
- Express: For daily use items with a short cycle time (63°C).
- Pre Wash: Cold water rinse to remove dirt before another program.
- Extra Silence: For quieter washing, slightly slower but 2 decibels less noise than ECO (60°C).
- Machine Care: Cleans the inside of the dishwasher; must be run empty (70°C).
- Download Course: Allows downloading additional courses like Plastic, Baby Care, and Pots and Pans via the SmartThings app.
- Half Load: Washes items using only the lower rack.
- Speed Booster: Reduces cycle time for various cycles.
- Hygiene Plus: Increases final rinse water temperature up to 75 °C for high-temperature sanitization. Not available with Delicate, Express, Machine Care, Plastic, Baby Care, and Pre Wash cycles.
- Delay Start: Delays cycle start time up to 24 hours in 1-hour increments.
SmartThings Integration (Wi-Fi models only):
- Connects to the SmartThings app (Android 8.0+ or iOS 13.0+).
- Monitoring: Check washing status, remaining cycle time, and energy consumption.
- Control: Start, pause, or cancel operations, add frequently used cycles to "My Favorite," and set Delay Start.
- Notifications: Receive alerts when a cycle is complete or if salt/rinse aid is low.
- AI Energy Mode: Reduces power consumption, though it results in a longer cycle time.
Loading Dishes:
- Lower Rack: Recommended for large, difficult-to-clean items like pots, pans, lids, serving dishes, and bowls. Features folding tines for flexibility.
- Upper Rack: Designed for delicate and lighter dishware such as glasses, cups, tea cups, and small bowls. Guide tines can be adjusted to accommodate different glass sizes (standard, shorter wine/brandy, bowls/plates).
- Cutlery Rack: Best for flatware and cooking utensils. Can be removed for more space on the upper rack. Includes glass support for wine glasses.
Detergent and Rinse Aid:
- Uses specific dishwasher detergent in the main wash compartment. Additional detergent can be added to the door for heavily soiled items (activates during pre-wash).
- Liquid rinse aid improves drying performance. The Rinse Refill indicator signals when refilling is needed.
Settings:
- Adjustable Sound (U1/U0), Brightness (b0-b5), Dose per Rinse (F0-F6, default F4), and Auto Release Dry (A1/A0).
- Auto Release Dry: The door automatically opens during the drying process to improve performance.
Maintenance Features
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe spills and dust with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals. For stainless steel, use a dedicated cleaner.
- Interior Cleaning: Regularly wipe with a wet dishcloth to remove dirt and food particles. Use Machine Care or Intensive cycle without dishes for internal cleaning. Citric acid can be added to prevent limescale in hard water areas.
- Nozzle Cleaning: Remove and clean the top and lower nozzles if clogged. Turn counter-clockwise to remove, unclog, and reinsert.
- Filter Cleaning: Recommended monthly. Remove the lower rack, turn the filter handle counterclockwise to unlock the Coarse filter, then remove the cylindrical micro filter. Clean both filters under running water and dry. Reinsert and lock clockwise.
- Drain Pump Cleaning: If the dishwasher fails to drain (5C error) or makes abnormal noise, the drain pump may be clogged. Remove the lower rack, filters, and then the drain-pump cover. Remove any foreign matter from the impeller and reinsert the cover.
- Long-term Care: For extended periods of non-use, drain the unit completely, disconnect the water hose, and shut off the water supply valve and circuit breaker to prevent damage from residual water freezing.
