In addition to the Samsung Health app included in the Samsung
apps folder, your device can also be a useful tool in emergency
situations. There are several important tools to assist you in case
ofanemergencyandtohelpyoucommunicatebetterwithrst
responders.
Medical Info
You can store your health, prescription, and other medical
information in one location on your device. In the event of
anemergency,medicalpersonnelincludingrstresponders,
doctors, and police, can access this valuable information directly
from you lock screen without requiring your password or an
internet connection.
Send SOS message to a contact
In an emergency, quickly make a call or send an SMS text with
your location to a designated contact. You can include a picture
fromthefrontorrearcameraand/orincludeave-second
audio recording. Once this feature is activated, and you have
a designated contact, tap the Power key quickly three times to
send the SOS message. Default mode is OFF.
Emergency Location Services (ELS)
ThisGoogletoolallowsrstresponderstolocatesomeone
making an emergency call or text from an Android device faster
and more accurately by using a combination of GPS, cell, Wi-Fi,
andsensordata.IfyourphonesupportsAndroid10orlater,ELS
willusetheEmergencyLocationBypasswhichallowsthedevice
location to be retrieved in the event of an emergency call or text,
evenifthedevice’sLocationsettinghasbeensettoOFF.
Indoor and outdoor locations are sent directly from the device to
the emergency service contacted and are not viewed by Google.
