The Settings Screen
Some options are enabled or disabled by touching the
OFF / ON
button to turn the option ON
or
OFF
. For some options, you must touch the field,
such as Wi-Fi, to display and set more options.
Some options are enabled or disabled by touching a check
box. When enabled, a
check mark displays. Touch the
check mark to remove it and disable the option.
Connections
Control your device’s wireless connections.
Wi-Fi
This section describes the Wi-Fi settings. For information on
how to use Wi-Fi, see “Wi-Fi” on page 82.
Activating Wi-Fi
1. From the

button to turn Wi-Fi ON

Scan
to scan for available Wi-Fi networks. For
more information, refer to “Manually Scan for a Wi-Fi
Network” on page 83.
Advanced Wi-Fi Settings
The advanced Wi-Fi settings allow you to set up and manage
wireless access points.

to automatically switch
between Wi-Fi and mobile networks to maintain a
stable Internet connection.

The following options are available:
• Network notification
: Alerts you when a new WAP is
available.
• Sort by
: Sort Wi-Fi networks by alphabet or RSSI (received
signal strength indicator).
• Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep
: Specify when to disconnect from
Wi-Fi.
• Always allow scanning
: Allow Google location service and
other apps to scan for networks, even when Wi-Fi is turned off.
• Install certificates
: Install authentication certificates.
• MAC address
: View your device’s MAC address, required
when connecting to some secured networks (not configurable).
• IP addres s
: View your device’s IP address.
