XM Display Mode
The XM features described here only operate when the optional XM antenna is connected to the main unit.
Press the XM DISPLAY button.
• Each time the XM DISPLAY button is pressed, the mode changes as follows:
CHANNEL NAME/NUMBER -* CHANNEL CATEGORY -* ARTIST NAME/SONG TITLE -_
SIGNAL STRENGTH
• When the Channel Name/Number is displayed :
• When the Channel Category is displayed •
• When the Artist Name/Song Title is displayed "
• When the Signal Strength is displayed "
• The front panel display can indicate up to 10 alphanumeric characters at once• tf the
informationcontains more than 10 characters, the informationscrolls from right to left.
• If the informationcontains a character that cannot be recognized by the unit, the character wiiI
be displayed with an underbar < * >.
Checking the XM Signal Strength

Press the XM DISPLAY button until <Signal> is displayed.
• Thedisplaychangesasshownbelowaccordingtothereceivingcondition.
Display Condition
GOOD Signal strength is good
MARGINAL Signal strength is marginal
WEAK Signal strength is poor
NO Loss of signal
Checking the Radio ID

• To sign up for an account with the XM Satellite Radio service, an XM Satellite Radio ID
number is required. Follow the procedure above to check your tD number, and then access the
website at "http://activate.xmradio.com" or call 't-800-XM-RADIO(1-SOO-g67-2346y with a
major credit card to sign up.

unit) to move to the desired channel.
• Category Search Mode :
Press the TUNING/CH (or v,A button on the main
unit) to select the channel within the selected category.
• Preset Search Mode :
Press the TUNING/CH (or v,A button on the main
unit) to select the channel within the memorized
channels.
