QWERTY Remote (RMC-QTD1)

To use QWERTY side of the remote, the TV should be updated by USB or Online.
Before using QWERTY Remote, it should be paired with TV.
Update TV

Using USB
1.
Download the latest TV software at www.samsung.com and extract it to the USB using your PC.
2.
Turn on the TV, and then insert the USB into the USB port of the TV.
3.
In the TV’s menu, go to
Support
Software Upgrade
and select “
By USB
”.
4.
The TV upgrades the software, turns off, and then turns on automatically.

On screen menu
1.
Connect your TV to internet network.
2.
In the TV’s menu, go to
Support
Software Upgrade
and select “
By Online
”.
3.
If there is a download available, the Download pop-up appears with a progress bar and the download starts.
4.
When the download is complete and the Upgrade Query screen appears, select
Upgrade Now
.
5.
The TV upgrades the software, turns off, and then turns on automatically.

Initial Pairing
1.
When the user inserts batteries into the QWERTY Remote, “NEED PAIRING PRESS SYM+TAB” will be displayed
on the screen.
2.
Press SYM and TAB buttons at the same time more than 2 seconds.
The TV can be paired with only one QWERTY remote. Start the pairing process approximately 30 seconds
after turning on the TV.
Keep within 20 inches(50 cm) between the QWERTY Remote and the TV.

Inserting Batteries

y Slide out the battery cover. y Push the button right.

y Pull the battery tray out. y Insert 4 AAA batteries in the tray, insert the battery tray
into the QWERTY Remote and put the cover back on.
