Basic Recording
BLC works in both Camera and M.Oam modes.
Back lighting exists when the subject is darker than the background:
- The subject is in front of a window.
- The person to be recorded iswearing whiteor shiny clothes and
is placed against a bright background;the person_sface is too dark to
distinguish his/her features.
- The subject is outdoors and the background isovercast.
- The light sources are too bright.
- The subject is against a snowy background.
1. Setthe Power switchto CAMERA.
2. Setthe Mode switch to TAPE or MEMORY CARD. (SC-D3531D354/D355only)
3. Press the BLC button.
• BLC icon (E_) will bedisplayed.
4. To exit BLC mode, press the BLC button again.
• Each press of the BLC button toggles: Normal _ BLC _ Normal.

• When NITE PIX to set to ON, the BLC function does not work. (SC-D352/D354iD355 only)
• The BLC function witl not operate in EAS'_Q mode.
