Instructions
This
section

the
service
manual
explains
how
to
connect
the
SM17GLi
color
monitor
to
IBM
or
PC-compatible
computers,
as
well
as
to
Apple
Macintosh
computers.
It
also
shows
the
location
of
the
monitor’s
front
panel
controls,
explains
their
functions
and
gives
examples
that
show
how
to
properly
adjust
these
controls.

Connection
to
Your
Computer
IBM
or
PC-Compatible
To
install
your
monitor,
follow
these
steps:
Turn
off
the
power
to
the
monitor
and
computer.
Place
the
monitor
on
a
flat,
sturdy
surface.
Connect
one
of
the
15-pin
D-sub
connectors
on
the
signal
cable
to
the
video
port
on
your
computer.
Tighten
the
attachment-screws.
(Refer
to
your
computer
owner’s
manual
for
the
location
of
the
video
connector.)
Connect
the
power
cable
to
the
monitor
and
plug
the
power
cord
into
the
power
outlet.
Adjust
the
screen
tilt
and
swivel
to
suit
your
needs.
Turn
on
your
computer
and
then
the
monitor.
