4-5-1. Service Instruction
Usually, a color TV-VCR needs only slight touch-up adjustment upon installation. 1.
Check the basic characteristics such as height, horizontal and vertical sync.
Use the specied test equipment or its equivalent.2.
Correct impedance matching is essential.3.
Avoid overload. Excessive signal from a sweep generator might overload the front-end of the TV. When inserting signal 4.
markers, do not allow the marker generator to distort test result.
Connect the TV only to an AC power source with voltage and frequency as specied on the backcover nameplate.5.
Do not attempt to connect or disconnect any wire while the TV is turned on. Make sure that the power cord is 6.
disconnected before replacing any parts.
To protect aganist shock hazard, use an isolation transform.7.

4-6-1. Entering Factory Mode
To enter “Service Mode” Press the remote -control keys in this sequence :

Key Functions
- Channel ∧∨,▲ ▼ Key : Select an option.
- Volume ＋－,◀▶ Key : Increase or decrease the value for an option.
- Menu key: Save the current settings to EEPROM and return to the previous mode.
- Number (0 ~ 9) keys: Change the channel.
- TV/AV key: Switch to AV mode.

* When you have replaced the main board, change the settings according to the following factory specications. Note
that the “Type” setting must be changed.
