- Linearity Adjustment (Guide Roller S, T adjustment): To ensure a flat video RF envelope.
- Check Transitional Operation from RPS to Play: To ensure smooth transition and proper envelope rise.
- Envelope Check: To verify playback output envelope meets specifications for T-120 (E-120) and T-160 (E-180) tapes.
- Tape Wrinkle Check: To identify and correct excessive tape wrinkle at guide rollers.
