This document is a user manual for a Samsung top-loading washing machine, covering models WA80CG4545**, WA85CG4545**, WA90CG4545**, and WA95CG4545**. It provides comprehensive information on installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Function Description
The Samsung washing machine is designed for household use to wash various types of laundry. It features multiple wash cycles tailored for different fabrics and soil levels, including Normal, Quick Wash, Super Clean, Delicates, Baby Care, Bedding, Jeans, Aqua Preserve, Rinse+Spin, and Eco Tub Clean. The machine automatically detects laundry weight for optimal washing performance and includes a "Smart Check" function for self-diagnosis of problems via a mobile app. A "Delay End" function allows users to set a specific time for the wash cycle to finish, up to 24 hours. The "Child Lock" feature prevents accidental operation and ensures safety by locking the lid.

The manual provides a specification sheet detailing the technical characteristics of the different models:
- Max load capacity:
- WA80CG4545**: 8.0 kg
- WA85CG4545**: 8.5 kg
- WA90CG4545**: 9.0 kg
- WA95CG4545**: 9.5 kg

- Net weight: 29.5 kg (for all listed models)
- Water pressure: 0.05 - 0.78 MPa (0.5 - 8.0 kgf/cm²) (for all listed models)
- Spin speed: 700 rpm (for all listed models)
Usage Features
- Control Panel: The control panel includes buttons for Power, Cycles, Start/Pause, Water Level, Wash time, Rinse times, Spin speed, Air Turbo, Eco Bubble, Super Speed, Intensive Wash, and Delay End. Cycle indicators light up to show the selected wash cycle.
- Detergent Guidelines: Users are instructed to open the lid, slide open the detergent drawer, and apply liquid or powder detergent into the detergent compartment, ensuring not to exceed the max line on the Bubble Kit. Fabric softener should be added to the softener compartment.
- Laundry Sorting: Laundry should be sorted by care label (cottons, mixed fibres, synthetics, silks, wools, rayon), colour (whites from colours), size (mixing different sizes improves performance), and sensitivity (delicate items).
- Pocket Emptying: All pockets must be emptied of metal objects (coins, pins, buckles) to prevent damage to laundry and the tub. Buttons and embroideries should be turned inside out, and zippers closed and fixed. Long strings should be tied.
- Laundry Net/Separate Washing: Brassieres with metal parts should be placed in a laundry net. Large volume or lightweight items like Cashmilon, lace-decorated clothes, lingerie, nylon stockings, and synthetic fabrics should be washed separately or in a laundry net to prevent floating and machine problems. Laundry nets should not be washed alone to avoid abnormal vibrations.
- Inflatable Items: Inflatable items (blankets, cotton-filled or microfibre quilts) must be soaked in water before washing to prevent damage to laundry or the machine. Only one item of bedding or quilts should be washed at a time.
- Prewash: For stains and dirt on collars, sleeves, hems, and pockets, apply detergent lightly and brush off. Use powder or liquid detergents, not soap. Prewash white socks, sleeves, and collars with detergent and a brush.
- Load Capacity: Laundry should not exceed the plastic area (A) in the tub. Overloading can lead to improper washing, damage to laundry or the machine, or water leaks. For bedding, the recommended load capacity is 3.5 kg or less.
- Detergent Type: Use "low suds" laundry detergent designed for automatic washing machines. Excessive detergent can damage laundry and reduce rinsing performance. Bleach should be used cautiously and not mixed with other substances. Detergent should not be applied directly to laundry or the tub during timed washing.
- Eco Bubble: This function, available for NORMAL, BABY CARE, or JEANS cycles, helps detergent penetrate faster and more effectively, protecting laundry.
- Air Turbo: Speeds up laundry drying and can be selected if the Spin option is set.
- Super Speed: Shortens washing time for NORMAL, BABY CARE, or JEANS cycles.
- Intensive Wash: For heavily soiled laundry, increasing cycle time.
- Child Lock: Activates by pressing and holding Water Level and Wash simultaneously for 3 seconds. If the lid is opened with Child Lock on, "dC" is displayed, an alarm sounds, and the machine may drain water. To deactivate, press and hold Water Level and Wash simultaneously for 3 seconds.
- Delay End: Sets the wash cycle to finish at a specified time, up to 24 hours.
- Sound On/Off: Hold down Rinse and Spin simultaneously for 3 seconds to mute/unmute key sounds.
Maintenance Features
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe spills with a soft cloth. Clean the control panel with a soft, damp cloth, avoiding abrasive powders or direct spraying.
- ECO TUB CLEAN: This cycle cleans the tub and removes bacteria. It should be run regularly (every 1-2 months or when the indicator blinks) with an empty tub. 200 ml of chlorine bleach can be added, but mixing with other substances is prohibited. If residue remains, an additional RINSE+SPIN cycle can be run.
- Power Tub Clean: A more powerful tub cleaning function, activated by pressing and holding Super Speed for 3 seconds when the tub is empty. 200 ml of chlorine bleach can be added.
- Magic Filter Cleaning: Press down the upper area of the filter case to remove it. Unlock the cover, clean the filter with running water and a brush, then reinsert until it clicks.
- Pump Filter Cleaning (applicable models only): Place a floor-cloth under the pump filter, turn the knob anticlockwise to remove. Clean with running water and a soft brush, then reinsert and turn clockwise to lock.
- Mesh Filter Cleaning: Use pliers to pull out the mesh filter from the water inlet. Clean with a soft brush and running water, then reinsert, ensuring it's tightened to prevent leaks.
- Detergent Drawer Cleaning: Pull out the drawer, lift the front edge to remove. Remove the Bubble Kit, rinse it and the drawer in warm water, and clean with a soft brush. Clean the drawer opening with a small, non-metallic brush. Reinsert the Bubble Kit and drawer, ensuring the drawer rail aligns with the compartment rail.
