What to do if SandPro 4517 pump does not run?
    • K
      Kyle PeckAug 4, 2025
If your SandPro Swimming Pool Filter pump isn't running, first, ensure it's properly plugged into a working socket and that the power cord is in good condition. Also, check if the GFCI or main circuit breaker has tripped; if so, switch it back on. However, if the breaker trips again immediately, it indicates a defect in the pump or its controls, requiring replacement of the pump/motor assembly.

Why is there sand in my pool from SandPro 4517?
    • T
      Trevor BurnsAug 8, 2025
If you find sand in your pool after using a SandPro Swimming Pool Filter, there could be several reasons. If the sand is newly replaced, undersized grains might still be present; backwash several times until the backwash water runs clear. Another cause could be sand in the central valve from backwashing; purge into the drainpipe for 30 seconds. Also, check if the separation wall inside the filter is improperly installed or if the filter's bottom strainer is damaged, requiring replacement.

How to remove air from SandPro 4517 system?
    • D
      Diana NelsonAug 12, 2025
If you notice air in your SandPro Swimming Pool Filter system, it could be because the water level is low or the system was recently opened for service. While the pump is running, carefully loosen (but do not remove) one of the screw-on transparent covers on the filter tank to allow any trapped air to escape. Once all the air has escaped, tighten the cover securely.

What to do if SandPro 4517 is leaking?
    • J
      Jaime HendricksAug 16, 2025
If your SandPro Swimming Pool Filter is leaking, a possible cause is a faulty seal. Inspect the seal and replace it if necessary. Another reason might be that the clamp isn't tight enough. Tighten the clamp, but be careful not to overtighten it; the maximum torque should be 35 in/lb.
