Safety Warnings
For your continued safety and to reduce the risk of injury or electric shock, please follow all the
safety precautions listed below.
Read all instructions carefully before using the unit and keep them for future reference.
• Retain the manual. If you pass the unit onto a third party, make sure to include this manual.
• Make sure your home voltage matches the voltage displayed on the appliance. If you are not
sure, contact an electrician.
• Do not immerse the appliance, mains cable or plug in water or other liquids. If you spill any
liquid into the unit, it can cause serious damage. Switch o and unplug immediately.
• Do not place unit appliance near radiators or heating appliances, also do not operate the unit
in direct sunlight.
• Do not use the unit in a room where aerosol products (sprays) are used.
• Always place and operate the humidier on a hard, stable, level, at waterproof surface.
• Do not put items of clothing or towels on top of the appliance. If the mist outlet is
obstructed, it may cause the appliance to malfunction.
• Do not pour water directly into the mist outlet.
• Do not insert or remove the power plug with wet hands.
• Switch o and unplug the appliance before removing the water tank, cleaning or when not
in use.
• Fill the water tank with fresh, distilled or demineralised water. Do not use hot water. Do not
operate the unit when there is no water in the water tank.
• During operation, do not move, incline or shake the appliance. Do not remove any parts of
the unit during operation. Never touch or alter the components while the unit is in operation.
• When moving the appliance, lift it by the base and not by the water tank.
• The humidier must be cleaned regularly. When cleaning, never scrape the transducer with a
hard tool. Use a soft damp cloth to wipe the water basin and the transducer.
• Do not use the humidier if the air in the room is already suciently humid. Excessive
humidity in the room can cause water condensation on windows and some furniture.
• Do not let the mist outlet to directly face the wall as moisture may cause damage to walls
and wallpapers.
• This appliance is intended for indoor household use and similar applications such as:
– farm houses and by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
– bed and breakfast type environments;
– catering and similar non-retail applications.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they
