Overview

The SANUS VUEPOINT FLF215 is a fully articulating TV wall mount designed to provide optimal viewing positions and a clean, organized installation. It is suitable for a wide range of televisions, offering flexibility in both mounting and adjustment.

Function Description:

The primary function of the FLF215 is to securely mount a television to a wall while allowing for extensive adjustments to achieve the best viewing angle. Its articulating arm enables the TV to be extended, retracted, tilted, and swiveled, accommodating various room layouts and viewing preferences. The mount is designed to make the installation process as stress-free as possible, with clear instructions and customer support available.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Weight Capacity: The mount is designed to support TVs weighing up to 100 lbs (45.3 kg), including accessories. It is crucial to verify the TV's weight before installation to ensure compatibility.
  • Wall Compatibility: The FLF215 is designed for use in wood stud, solid concrete, and concrete block walls. It is explicitly stated that the mount should NOT be installed into drywall alone.
    • Wood Stud Walls:
      • Drywall covering the wall must not exceed 5/8 in. (16 mm).
      • Minimum wood stud size: common 2 x 4 in. (51 x 102 mm) nominal 1½ x 3½ in. (38 x 89 mm).
    • Solid Concrete/Concrete Block Walls:
      • Minimum solid concrete thickness: 8 in. (203 mm).
      • Minimum concrete block size: 8 x 8 x 16 in. (203 x 203 x 406 mm).
  • TV Hole Pattern Compatibility (VESA): The TV bracket can be configured to fit TV hole patterns ranging from 75 x 75 mm up to 600 x 400 mm. This includes common VESA patterns such as:
    • 75 x 75 mm (3 in. x 3 in.)
    • 100 x 100 mm (4 in. x 4 in.)
    • 200 x 200 mm (7 7/8 in. x 7 7/8 in.)
    • 400 x 400 mm (15 3/4 in. x 15 3/4 in.)
    • 600 x 400 mm (23 5/8 in. x 15 3/4 in.)
    • 400 x 200 mm (15 3/4 in. x 7 7/8 in.)

  • Mount Dimensions (Fully Assembled):
    • Width: 12.85 in. (326.5 mm)
    • Height: 12.01 in. (305.1 mm)
  • Extension/Retraction:
    • Extended: The arm allows the TV to be positioned away from the wall.
    • Retracted: The TV can be pushed close to the wall, with a minimum distance of 3.17 in. (80.6 mm) from the wall to the TV.
    • Maximum extension from wall to TV: 14.61 in. (371.1 mm).
  • Wall Plate Dimensions:
    • Width: 3.29 in. (83.7 mm)
    • Height: 9.50 in. (241.3 mm)
    • Features 3 lag screw holes.
  • TV Shift Offset: The TV shifts 3.05 in. (77.6 mm) to the right or left when in the home position. This offset should be considered when selecting the wall mount location.
  • Included Hardware: A variety of TV screws (M5, M6, M8 in various lengths), washers, and spacers are provided to ensure compatibility with different TV models. Lag bolts and washers are included for wood stud installations. For concrete installations, a Concrete Installation Kit (CMK1) with Fischer UX10 x 60R anchors is available separately and can be requested from customer service.

Usage Features:

  • Fully Articulating Arm: The mount features a fully articulating arm with three pivot points, allowing for a wide range of motion. This enables users to achieve optimal viewing positions from different angles in a room.
  • Tilt Adjustment: The TV can be tilted up or down, providing the perfect viewing angle and reducing glare. A tilt tension knob allows for fingertip control to adjust the tension, ensuring the TV stays in place once positioned.
  • Level Adjustment: The mount includes a level adjustment feature, allowing the TV to be perfectly leveled after installation. This is achieved by loosening and then re-tightening a locking screw.
  • Stress-Free Installation: The manual emphasizes a "stress-free" installation process, providing clear, step-by-step instructions and offering customer support via phone (1-888-333-9952) and an online video guide (san.us/1116).
  • Cable Management: Integrated cable channels on the top and bottom of the wall plate arms, along with hook and loop ties (HL), help to route and bundle cables, creating a clean and organized look. Top cables can be routed through an open area of the arm to prevent pinching when folding the arm.
  • TV Bracket Extenders: For larger VESA patterns, TV bracket extenders (02) are used in conjunction with the main TV bracket (01) to accommodate wider hole patterns.
  • Screw Selection Guide: The manual provides detailed guidance on selecting the correct screw diameter (M5, M6, or M8) and length based on the TV's back design (flat, round/irregular, inset holes) and the need for extra space for cables. Spacers are provided for TVs with round/irregular backs or inset mounting holes.
  • Safety Features: The design includes a locking screw (19) that must be installed to secure the TV onto the wall plate assembly, preventing accidental dislodgement.

Maintenance Features:

  • Adjustable Tilt Tension: The tilt tension knob allows users to easily adjust the stiffness of the tilt mechanism. If the TV is too loose or too tight, this knob can be adjusted by hand to maintain the desired position.
  • Removable TV: The TV can be easily removed from the wall plate assembly by disconnecting all cables and reversing the installation procedures outlined in STEP 3. This is useful for maintenance, upgrades, or relocating the TV.

Safety Warnings:

  • The product contains small items that could be a choking hazard if swallowed.
  • All parts must be included and undamaged before assembly. Damaged parts should not be used, and customer service should be contacted.
  • Lag bolts must be firmly tightened to prevent unwanted movement of the wall plate. Over-tightening lag bolts is cautioned against as it can reduce holding power.
  • Verify adequate thread engagement with the screw or screw/spacer combination. Screws that are too short will not hold the TV, and screws that are too long will damage the TV.
  • The wall must be capable of supporting five times the weight of the TV and mount combined.
  • The product should not be used for any purpose not explicitly specified by the manufacturer.
  • The manufacturer is not responsible for damage or injury caused by incorrect assembly or use.
