3-2. Overwriting method
1. While pressing the PLAY/STOP button on the digital video
recorder, press the ALL RESET button at the rear.
A beep will sound and the digital video recorder will switch
to overwriting mode.
2. In the "Hyperterminal" window of the computer, click
"Transfer (T)", and then click "Text File Transfer (T)".
The "Text File Transfer (T)" window will be displayed.
3. Change the "Save as type" setting to "All Files (*.*)", and
then select the name of the file to be transferred so that it
appears in the "File name (N)" box.
4. Click "Open (O)".
The version numbers for the software that are displayed
on the monitor screen will be updated in turn, and when
this process is complete the buzzer will sound and the
overwriting screen will be displayed.
5. Close the "Hyperterminal" window at the computer.
6. Display the POWER FAILURE/USED TIME sub-menu.
And check that the firmware version has been updated.
7. While pressing the MENU button at the front of the digital
video recorder, press the ALL RESET button at the rear to
turn it back on.
