What to do if Sanyo STW-2 air is not always cool?
    • J
      Jeanne ParsonsJul 31, 2025
If your Sanyo Air Conditioner is blowing air that isn't always cool during cooling operation, the Fan Cycle Switch might be set to Fan Cont (continuous). This setting causes the fan to blow room air even when the compressor is off. Adjust the Fan Cycle Switch to resolve this.

Why is my Sanyo STW-2 Air Conditioner not cooling or heating properly?
    • M
      Megan MillsAug 5, 2025
If your Sanyo Air Conditioner isn't cooling or heating as expected, several factors could be at play. First, the unit might be waiting for the compressor overload protector to reset; allow some time for it to cool down or warm up. Check for any obstructions like curtains, blinds, or furniture blocking the airflow and remove them. Ensure the thermostat is set appropriately, adjusting it to a lower or higher position as needed. A dirty air filter can also impede airflow, so clean it at least once every two weeks. Lastly, verify that the ventilation control isn't set to the OPEN position, which allows outside air to enter the room; adjust accordingly.

Why is the air from my Sanyo STW-2 Air Conditioner not always hot?
    • R
      Ronald SmithAug 17, 2025
If your Sanyo Air Conditioner is blowing air that isn't always hot during heating operation, it might be because the Fan Cycle Switch is set to Fan Cont (continuous). This makes the fan blow room air even when the electrical heater is off. Change the Fan Cycle Switch setting.

Why does my Sanyo STW-2 have a burning smell when heating?
    • M
      Margaret MillerAug 25, 2025
If you notice a burning odor at the start of heating operation with your Sanyo Air Conditioner, it's likely due to dust on the surface of the electrical heater. This odor should fade quickly.
