This document describes the Entris® II Advanced Line of analytical and precision balances, specifically models BCA64-1x, BCA124-1x, BCA224-1x, BCA324I-1x, BCA223-1x, BCA323-1x, BCA423-1x, BCA623-1x, and BCA1203I-1x. These balances are designed for accurate mass determination of liquid, paste, powder, or solid materials in indoor environments, such as industrial areas.
Function Description:
The Entris® II Advanced Line balances are high-resolution devices primarily used for weighing. They feature a control unit with an operating display, a toolbar, metrological data display, a function bar, and an application toolbar. The main menu provides access to various applications like Weighing, Mixing, Statistics, Components, Density, Percentage, Conversion, Animal Weighing, Checkweighing, Peak Hold, Counting, and Pipette Test.
The Weighing application determines the weight of a sample within the device's specific weighing range.
The Mixing application allows weighing up to 99 components sequentially for a mixture or formula in one container, with automatic taring after each component.
The Statistics application saves and statistically analyzes up to 99 weight values and calculated values.
The Components application sums up to 99 weight values, allowing weighing in different containers with taring before each component.
The Density application determines the density of solid samples using a density set based on the buoyancy method (Archimedes' Principle).
The Percentage application determines the percentage share or difference of a sample relative to a reference weight.
The Conversion application multiplies the weight value by a user-defined factor, which is saved in protected memory.
The Animal Weighing application is designed for moving samples (e.g., live animals) and unstable environments, averaging a defined number of measurements.
The Checkweighing application verifies if a weight value falls within specified tolerances.
The Peak Hold application calculates and displays the maximum weight value of a sample for five seconds after removal.
The Counting application counts parts by comparing them with a reference sample.
The Pipette Test application saves and statistically analyzes up to 99 pipette measurements.
The device also includes internal calibration and adjustment functions (isoCAL for I-1x models), which can be set to automatic or manual, triggered by time intervals or temperature changes. External calibration and adjustment are also supported. User management allows for creating profiles (Administrator, Supervisor, Operator) with different access rights to system settings and applications.
