What to do if my SATA Paint Sprayer has corrosion?
    • T
      tanyafergusonAug 15, 2025
Corrosion on the air cap thread, inside material passages (cup connection), or on the spray gun body can occur if water-based cleaning solution remains inside or on the spray gun for too long, so clean it (see chapter 8) or if you used unsuitable cleaning solutions. You may need to get a replacement spray gun body.

Why does my SATA minijet 4400 B leak from the fluid tip?
    • N
      Nicholas RyanAug 18, 2025
If your spray gun leaks from the fluid tip, it could be due to contamination between the paint needle tip and fluid tip. Clean the fluid tip and paint needle (see chapter 8). Alternatively, the nozzle set may be damaged, requiring replacement (see chapter 9).

What to do if my SATA Paint Sprayer has air bubbles in the gravity flow cup?
    • S
      Sean BrownAug 21, 2025
Air bubbles in the gravity flow cup can be caused by several factors: * A loose air cap: Tighten the air cap by hand. * A clogged gap between the air cap and fluid tip: Clean the air circuit (see chapter 8). * A clogged or damaged nozzle set: Clean the nozzle set (see chapter 8) or replace it (see chapter 9.1). * Not enough paint material in the gravity flow cup: Refill the gravity flow cup. * A defective paint needle sealing: Replace the paint needle sealing (see chapter 9.3).

Why is my SATA minijet 4400 B spray pattern too small?
    • H
      howellrobertAug 25, 2025
A spray pattern that is too small, crooked, lop-sided, or splitting may be due to clogged air cap drillings. Clean the air cap (see chapter 8). It could also be due to a damaged fluid tip; check if the fluid tip is damaged and replace the nozzle set if necessary (see chapter 9.1).

How to fix material leaking from behind the paint needle sealing on my SATA Paint Sprayer?
    • R
      Rebecca GriffinAug 27, 2025
If material leaks from behind the paint needle sealing, it may be due to a defective or missing paint needle sealing. Replace or insert the paint needle sealing (see chapter 9.3). It could also be caused by a clogged or damaged paint needle. Replace the nozzle set (see chapter 9.1) and replace the paint needle sealing if necessary (see chapter 9.3).

How to troubleshoot fluttering or spitting spray fan on SATA Paint Sprayer?
    • M
      melissarodriguezAug 30, 2025
A fluttering or spitting spray fan, or air bubbles appearing in the gravity flow cup, can be caused by: * A fluid tip that has not been properly tightened: Tighten the fluid tip with a universal spanner. * A damaged or clogged air distribution ring: Replace the air distribution ring, as it will be damaged during disassembly.

What to do if SATA Paint Sprayer spray gun does not shut-off air?
    • M
      Matthew MendozaSep 3, 2025
If the spray gun does not shut off air, the air piston seat may be clogged, or the air piston may be worn. Clean the air piston seat and/or replace the air piston and air piston packing (see chapter 9.4).

Why is my SATA minijet 4400 B digital display black?
    • M
      Megan WalkerSep 5, 2025
A black digital display can occur if the spray gun has been soaked in cleaning solution for too long. Clean it (see chapter 8) and get a replacement digital unit. It can also happen due to wrong positioning of the spray gun inside the gun washing machine.

Why can't I regulate round/flat spray control on my SATA Paint Sprayer?
    • B
      Brittany MillerSep 8, 2025
If the round/flat spray control cannot be regulated, the regulation valve may be dirty. Remove the round/flat spray control, and repair or replace it (see chapter 9.7).

What to do if round/ flat spray control of SATA minijet 4400 B Paint Sprayer does not function?
    • J
      Jennifer Gonzalez DDSSep 12, 2025
If the round/flat spray control has no function, but the control knob can still be turned, the air distribution ring may not have been positioned in the correct location (pin is not located in the drilling) or it may be damaged. Replace the air distribution ring, making sure it has been positioned correctly when inserting it (see chapter 9.2).
