Overview

The INT-KLCDK-GR keypad is a sophisticated interface designed for seamless interaction with INTEGRA series and CA-64 control panels, as well as for programming the ACU-100 wireless system controller. Its primary function is to provide users with a clear and intuitive means to operate and manage their alarm systems.

The keypad features a large liquid-crystal display that offers comprehensive visual feedback, making it easy to navigate through menus and understand system statuses. Complementing the display are 16 tactile keys, which are essential for data entry, menu navigation, and initiating various system functions. Both the display and the keys are equipped with backlighting, ensuring visibility and usability even in low-light conditions. This thoughtful design enhances user experience by making the keypad accessible at any time of day or night.

A key operational feature of the INT-KLCDK-GR is its integrated buzzer. This buzzer provides audible confirmation for every keypad operation, giving users immediate feedback that their input has been registered. Beyond simple confirmations, the buzzer also serves as an important alert mechanism, signaling various events that occur within the alarm system. This auditory feedback, combined with visual cues, ensures that users are always aware of their system's status and any critical developments.

The keypad incorporates six LED indicators, each designed to convey specific information about the system's current state. These indicators are crucial for at-a-glance monitoring:

  • ALARM (red color): A steady red light signifies an active alarm. Once the alarm period concludes, the LED will blink, indicating that the alarm memory has been triggered. The LED will extinguish only after the alarm has been reset, providing a clear visual cue for alarm resolution.

  • TROUBLE (yellow color): A blinking yellow LED signals a fault or failure within the alarm system. This indicator is temporarily extinguished when partitions controlled by the keypad are armed, allowing users to differentiate between system troubles and armed states.

  • ARMED (green color): This LED provides information about the system's armed status. If some partitions are armed, the LED will blink. When all partitions controlled by the keypad are armed, the LED will emit a steady green light, offering a clear visual confirmation of the system's security posture.

  • SERVICE (green color): A blinking green LED indicates that the control panel is in service mode. This function is specifically available to users who have been assigned a service code, ensuring that maintenance and configuration tasks are performed by authorized personnel.

  • GROUP (two green color LEDs): These LEDs are utilized in graphic mode functions to indicate which data set is currently displayed. They can show the number of zones or outputs, or indicate the appropriate expander bus, providing detailed context for system configuration and monitoring.

For maintenance and comprehensive understanding of the keypad's installation and operation, users are directed to consult the INSTALLER MANUAL and USER MANUAL of the INTEGRA or CA-64 alarm control panel. These manuals provide detailed instructions and troubleshooting guides, ensuring that the keypad can be properly set up and maintained for optimal performance. The design of the INT-KLCDK-GR emphasizes user-friendliness and clear communication of system status, making it an effective tool for managing security systems.
