Overview

The Sauber SG-100 Pro Carpet Shampooer is a household cleaning appliance designed for deep cleaning carpets and upholstery. It is not intended for industrial use, and improper use may void the manufacturer's warranty.

Function Description:

The carpet shampooer works by applying a cleaning solution to the carpet, scrubbing it with a power brush, and then extracting the dirty water into a separate tank. It features a main cleaning head for large carpeted areas and a spot cleaner attachment for targeted cleaning of stains on carpets, sofas, and car seats.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Power: 830W
  • Clean Water Tank Capacity: 1.5L
  • Dirty Water Tank Capacity: 1.0L
  • Cable Length: 7m
  • Net Weight: 8Kg

Usage Features:

Before You Begin:

  • Always switch off the shampooer and remove the power plug from the power supply before cleaning, when not in use, or performing maintenance.
  • The cleaner must only be connected to an AC power supply at the voltage shown on the rating plate.
  • Do not operate the cleaner too close to heaters, radiators, or other hot surfaces.
  • Ensure hands are dry before inserting the power plug.
  • Remove any large objects from the carpet before turning on the shampooer to prevent damage.
  • When unplugging, gently pull the power plug from the socket, not the power cable.

Safety Precautions & Warnings:

  • The shampooer is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless supervised.
  • Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the shampooer.
  • If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by an authorized service agent.
  • Carpets should be dry vacuumed thoroughly before washing, preferably with a vacuum cleaner with a power brush.
  • If using an extension cord, ensure it is approved and fully extended to prevent overheating.
  • Do not run the shampooer over the power cable or power socket.
  • Do not place the cleaner on stairs or furniture.
  • Do not handle the power plug or cleaner with wet hands.
  • Do not put any objects into openings or operate with blocked openings.
  • Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all body parts away from openings and moving parts.
  • Do not use this cleaner and accessories on hard floors, as it may cause scratches or damage.
  • Do not use the carpet washer on glowing, burning, or smoking particles.
  • Do not use without the solution tank and dirty water tank in place.
  • Turn off all controls before unplugging.
  • Do not store the cleaner with solution in tanks.
  • Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids such as petrol.
  • Only use the cleaning solution provided by Godfreys.
  • Do not use high-foaming solutions, as excessive foam impairs functioning and voids the warranty.
  • Never operate the carpet shampooer if the water level in the Dirty Water Tank exceeds the Max Line.

Assembling:

  1. Remove the two screws from the handle insert.
  2. Insert the handle into the body, ensuring it points backwards, and secure with the screws.
  3. Secure the handle into place with the screws.
  4. Install the Clean Water Tank, ensuring it clicks into place.

Preparing the Carpet:

  • Do not use the shampooer as a dry vacuum.
  • Vacuum carpeted surfaces thoroughly, preferably with a power brush.
  • Remove as much furniture as possible. For immovable furniture, place plastic or foil under and around the legs until the carpet is dry.
  • Only use a low foam solution.
  • Do not oversaturate the carpet with cleaning solution.
  • For heavily soiled areas, additional applications may be necessary.
  • Allow plenty of time for carpet to dry thoroughly.
  • If cleaning solution contacts wood furniture or material, wipe it away immediately.
  • Avoid walking on the carpet until it has completely dried after cleaning.
  • Plan your cleaning path to avoid walking on previously cleaned areas.

Check for Colour Fastness:

  • Before cleaning, test for colour fastness by dampening a white cloth with solution and gently rubbing a small, hidden carpeted area. Check for colour bleeding.

After Cleaning:

  • Allow the carpet to dry completely. Avoid walking on it until thoroughly dry.
  • If walking on wet carpet is necessary, place white towels over the areas.
  • If furniture must be returned before the carpet is dry, place plastic or foil under it to prevent staining.
  • Thoroughly clean the dirty water tank with warm (max 40°C) tap water.

Instructions For Use:

Clean Water Tank:

  1. To remove, hold the handle and press the Clean Water Tank Release.
  2. To fill, lift the tank lid, add the recommended solution, and fill the remainder with warm (max 40°C) tap water.

  3. Close the tank lid and reinstall the Clean Water Tank, ensuring it clicks into place.

Operating the Shampooer:

  2. Turn on the shampooer by stepping on the On/Off Button located on its base.
