Also, low engine RPM or a slipping belt may be the reason; in these cases, run the engine at full RPM or adjust the belt tension. If the deck is plugged with grass accumulation, clean the underside of the deck. Furthermore, this issue can be caused by ground speed being too fast, so slow down. Cutting wet grass or bent blades can also cause this, so cut after the grass has dried or replace the blades.

  An uneven cut on flat ground may be due to several reasons. If the lift is worn from the blade, replace the blade. Ensure the blade is not upside down; mount it with the cutting edge toward the ground. If the deck is plugged with grass accumulation, clean the underside of the deck. Too much blade angle (deck pitch) can also cause this, so adjust the pitch and level. If the deck is mounted improperly or the spindle area is bent, see your authorized SCAG dealer. Finally, a dull blade can cause an uneven cut, so sharpen the blade.
