3. Technical information
o The complete blower unit consists of a blower, a breathing hose, a belt, a battery, a recharger and a
transformer.
• Two thread fi lters must be attached to the blower device. The connection thread of the fi lters and the
breathing hose of the blower device conforms to the standard EN 148-1.
o Rechargeable Ni-Cd battery 4,8 V/5 Ah.
o Red signal lamp indicates when the air fl ow rate falls below the required minimum.
o At a very intensive working pace, the air fl ow rate 120 l/min will provide a better protection than the
fl ow rate 65 l/min. At a lighter working pace, the fl ow rate of 120 litres may feel uncomfortable on the
face. Also, recharging will be needed more often and the motor lifetime will be shortened.

“Open” facepieces, such as helmets or hoods, do not
provide suffi cient protection in case of breakdown or
inferior output of the blower. Therefore, devices of class
TH1 must never be used against carcinogenic, very
poisonous or radioactive gases and vapours.
Device with combined fi lter The specifi ed multiples of threshold value for the gas or particle fi lters are given
separately, but in all cases the lowest value applies.

For devices with combined fi lter apply the relevant
limitations of gas and particle fi lters.
*) Provided that the maximum permissible detrimental gas concentration for the gas fi lter is not exceeded. For
power-assisted fi ltering devices with gas fi lter, concentration must not exceed 0.05 vol.% in gas fi lter class 1 and
0.1 vol.% in gas fi lter class 2 and 0.5 vol.% in gas fi lter class 3.
**) If national guidelines exist: in all cases the lowest value applies.
