Troubleshooting
Blower device
Symptom
Cause Remedy
Blower fails to start. Battery is uncharged. (Batteries are
delivered uncharged).
Battery defected. (Battery terminal
voltage should keep above 4,8 V
when measured at least 10 min after a
charging period of a few hours.)
Recharge the battery. Check that the recharger operates as
described in the instructions for use.
Replace the battery.
Blower operates well
but only for a short
period at a time.
Battery is uncharged. Recharge the battery. Check that the recharger operates as
described in the instructions for use.
Blower operates only
for a short period.
Normal deterioration of battery takes
place in the long run. Deterioration is
accelerated by storage (of the battery)
in a warm place.
Clogged lters.
(Clogged lters increase motor load
thus shortening its life and service
periods.)
When battery capacity becomes insuf cient, replace
the battery.
Replace lters.
Always use two lters of the same type and class.
Always replace all lters at the same time.
Blower stops
because of shaking.
Corroded or contaminated mating
surfaces (terminals) of battery, or
contact springs of blower’s
Clean battery terminals and blowers contact springs.
Sandpaper steel wool may leave insulating particles on
the surface; wipe them off with a piece of soft paper.
Finally, apply small amount of contact-spray on contact
areas.
Note: In case of a contact failure, the blower must be
restarted by the switch.
Blower operates but
the red signal light is
constantly on when
the facepiece is not
donned..
Clogged lters.
Hose is dinted/throttled and/or
facepiece or valves are damaged.
Replace lters.
Always use two lters of the same type and class.
Always replace all lters at the same time.
Check and replace the damaged parts.
Recharging device
The signal lights of
the recharger will not
turn on.
Main voltage is off.
Transformer is damaged. (The
transformer voltage must be 12-14 V
and the plus pole is at the head of the
plug.)
Check the power supply by e.g. trying some other appliance
into the same socket.
Replace the transformer.
IMPORTANT! Use only original transformers. Wrong
polarity destroys recharging device.
After connecting to
the mains the both
signal lights are
constantly on even
though the battery
has not yet been
connected to the
recharger.
Electrical de cit. Contact the manufacturer’s representative.
Only the right hand
signal light is burning
after connecting the
battery.
The battery terminals and the contact
springs of the recharging device do not
touch.
Corroded or contaminated terminals or
contact springs
Clean the terminals and contact springs. Sandpaper and steel
wool may leave insulating particles on the surface; wipe them
off with a piece of soft paper. Finally, apply small amount of
contact-spray on contact areas.
The right hand signal
light goes off too
early (battery gets
not fully recharged).
Too warm an enviroment, the recharger
will suppress the charging current to
standby level, so the battery will not be
charged.
Recharge in a cooler place.
