Section 7. Repairing minor faults
The equipment to be used has not
been connected prior to starting.
Disconnect the equipment then try to start
the unit again.
The battery is correctly connected and
charged.
Install the battery; replace it with a new
battery if necessary.
The fuel tap is in the ON position.
Turn the fuel tap to the ON position.
The spark plug is in good condition and
correctly connected.
The oil level is correct, the oil cut-out
warning light is off.
The fuel level is correct.
Does not function normally
(noise, smoke, etc.)
Maintenance has been correctly
performed on the unit components.
Perform maintenance on the unit as per
the recommendations.
Have the unit checked by one of our
agents*.
Does not supply electrical
current
The circuit breaker for the 12V socket
is triggered.
Press the circuit breaker for the 12V
socket to trigger it.
The capacity of the unit is not
exceeded; the overload warning light is
off.
The connected equipment and their
power cords are not faulty.
Try with another item of equipment and
another power cord.
Have the unit checked by one of our
agents*.

7.1 Cleaning the exhaust silencer
1. Remove the nuts (A4) and the enclosure (A3).
2. Remove the screws (F1) and the cover from the exhaust silencer (F2).
3. Remove the screw (F3) and the exhaust silencer (F4).
4. Remove the exhaust silencer grille (F5) then the spark arrester (F6).
5. Using a metal brush, carefully remove the deposits on the exhaust silencer grille and spark arrester.
6. Check the condition of the spark arrester and the exhaust silencer grille. Replace them if they are damaged.
7. Refit the spark arrester.
8. Refit the exhaust silencer grille and the exhaust silencer by tightening the screw correctly.
9. Refit the exhaust silencer cover and its screws.
10. Refit the enclosure by retightening the nuts correctly.

8.1 Operating conditions
The stated outputs of the units are obtained under the reference conditions outlined in ISO 8528-1(2005):
Total barometric pressure: 100 kPa - Ambient air temperature: 25°C (298 K) - Relative humidity: 30%.
The unit's output is reduced by approximately 4% for every additional 10°C and/or approximately 1% for every additional 100m in
altitude. Units can only operate while stationary.
