If the remote discharge indicator light
turns off during a ride, it indicates the
automatic fire extinguisher is
discharging.
Make sure to use the following recom-
mendations if the extinguisher dis-
charges because of a fire:
DDuurriinngg ddiisscchhaarrggee::
– Immediately shut down the engine,
disconnecting the key.
– Do not open the engine
compartment.
– If it is safe, reach for your portable
fire extinguisher (not supplied), in
case it is needed.
AAfftteerr ddiisscchhaarrggee::
– Before inspecting for damage, al-
low the agent to “soak” the com-
partment for at least 15 minutes
and wait for hot metals or fuels to
cool.
– Have approved portable extin-
guishers in hand and ready for
use.
– Do not breathe fumes or vapors
caused by the fire and/or suppres-
sion agent. They are hazardous
and toxic.
– Open the access covers and venti-
late the engine compartment.
– Contact your dealer for damage
assessment and parts
replacements.

Weeds, shells or debris can get
caught on the intake grate, drive shaft
and/or impeller. A clogged water in-
take may cause troubles such as:
– CCaavviittaattiioonn:: Engine speed is high
but watercraft moves slowly due to
reduced jet thrust, jet pump com-
ponents may be damaged.
– OOvveerrhheeaattiinngg:: Since the jet pump
operation controls the flow of water
to cool the exhaust system, a
clogged intake will cause the en-
gine to overheat and damage en-
gine internal components.
If the water intake is clogged, activate
the iDF. Refer to

vated, it allows the user to electrically
move the iBR gate and nozzle through
its full range of motion using the VTS
control button.

The iBR override function is only avail-
able when the engine is not running.
