3.7 Vehicle Coverage

The VS87000 OBDII/EOBD Code Reader is specially designed to

work with all EOBD compliant vehicles, including those equipped with

the next-generation protocol -- Control Area Network (CAN).

A small number of 1994 and 1995 model year petrol vehicles are

OBD 11/EOBD compliant. Government regulations mandate that all

EOBD compliant vehicles must have a “common” sixteen-pin Data

Link Connector (DLC).

For your vehicle to be EOBD compliant it must have a

H16-pin DLCH

(Data Link Connector) under the dash.
