Align drill bit parallel to column using holder plate and centering bracket.
Secure drill body with U-Bolt through holder plate and tighten rod nuts.
Place drill cord in the holder to keep it away from the drill bit.
Loosen bottom nut on depth shaft, turn slightly, and retighten to eliminate side play.
Drill a work hole through the base, positioning may vary by drill model.
Install indexing head on column for desired height and adjust safety guard.
Align drill to work hole on tilt table, which is slotted for hold downs.
Sears offers a low-cost drill vise (Model 2597) with a 2" wide jaw.
