LIMITED HARDWARE WARRANTY COVERAGE TO ORIGINAL PURCHASER
Sector 5 Chromebook Limited Warranty
Sector 5 warranty obligations are limited to the terms set forth below:
Sector 5 warrants this Sector 5 branded Chromebook product against manufacturing defects in
materials and workmanship for a period of ONE (1) YEAR from the date of original retail purchase by
the original purchaser.
Please note that some states do not allow time limitations on implied warranties.
This limited warranty is valid only on Sector 5 products purchased from Sector 5 or a Sector 5 authorized
dealer and used in the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia (unless you sign a separate
written agreement with Sector 5).
If a defect exists as a result of manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship during the Limited
Warranty Period, at its sole discretion, Sector 5 will: (1) repair the product at no charge, using new or
refurbished replacement parts, (2) exchange the product with a product that is new or which is at least
functionally equivalent to the original product. A replacement product assumes the remaining warranty of
the original product or 90 days, whichever provides longer coverage for you, or (3) provide a refund of the
purchase price of the product, LESS THE PRODUCT’S DEPRECIATED VALUE, only if Sector 5 is unable
to replace the product or repair it in accordance with applicable law. Warranty service will generally be
provided by a Sector 5 Authorized Service Provider.
When a product or part is exchanged, any replacement item becomes your property and the replaced item,
and products for which a refund is provided, becomes Sector 5’s property and must be returned to Sector 5
free of any third-party ownership claims within ten (10) days after you receive the replacement parts or
products (or refund, if applicable).
Sector 5 may require your credit card information prior to providing replacement parts or products (or
refund, if applicable), Sector 5 will charge you for the replacement parts or products (or product which a
refund is provided) if you fail to return them within such time.
OBTAINING WARRANTY SERVICE
To obtain the warranty service, you must (1) first follow the procedures outlined below, in the product
manual and in online help resources, and (2) if these procedures do not work, then contact Sector 5 at
the number provided below for problem determination and service procedures.
For All Products. When you contact the Sector 5 or Sector 5 Authorized Service Provider, you will be asked
to furnish (1) your name, address, telephone number, (2) proof of the original purchase (receipt) containing
a description of the product(s), purchase date and the appropriate Sector 5 serial number(s), and (3) the
local warranty card issued by Sector 5 after registration (only in countries where Sector 5 requires warranty
registration).
Warranty service can only be performed by a Sector 5 authorized Service Provider. Sector 5 will not
reimburse for any service performed by others.
If repair\exchange service of the product is required, you need deliver/mail the product, at your expense, to
any Sector 5 Authorized Service Provider in the country where you purchased the product, you must ship
the product to the specified Sector 5 authorized Service Provider in its original or equivalent packaging.
After Sector 5 receives your products and the necessary repair\exchange process is finished, then Sector 5
will ship the repaired or replaced product to you if your address is located in the United States.
Sector 5 reserves the right to change the method by which Sector 5 may provide warranty service
to you, and your Sector 5 product's eligibility to receive a particular method of service.
Note: Before you deliver your product for warranty service or, if applicable, make it available to a technician
during on-site service, it is your responsibility to keep a separate backup copy of the system software,
