Why does my Securitron lock have insufficient holding force?

  If your Securitron lock exhibits insufficient holding force, several factors could be responsible. First, verify the voltage switch position to ensure it's correctly set. Next, examine the power supply voltage and wire gauge to confirm they are appropriate for the wire run. Also, check the armature plate to ensure it covers all magnetic poles of the lock. Furthermore, make sure the armature plate can rock on the door for proper alignment. Finally, verify that the correct hardware assembly is used, with a metal washer, rubber washer, and metal washer positioned between the door and armature plate.

  If your Securitron lock is buzzing, it could be due to AC voltage being supplied to the lock. Make sure you are supplying DC voltage. Another possible cause is AC ripple in the power supply. If this is the case, replace the power supply.
