2. VALUE CHECKING AND ADJUSTMENT
l
Coil block resistance
Measure the resistance of each coil block and make sure that each measured value falls in the
range as below.

– 2.15k

l
Cu
rrent consumption
For the whole movement: Less than 0.65μA (with the supplied voltage range between 1.25V and
1.45V from the rechargeable battery)
* The above information is provided only as reference.
Please
note that the current consumption value may slightly vary each time you
measure it, depending on the model of the watch (hand specification, or moment of
inertia).
* When using a SEIKO multi-tester S-860, select the following range.
For the whole movement: NORMAL 40 μA
l
Ho
w to measure the current consumption
1. Re move the os cillating weight,
ins u l a t o r f o r the r e c h a r g e ab l e
battery and rechargeable battery
cover.
2.
Re move the s e condar y bat ter y
and rotate it approximately 18 0
degrees, then place it in a temporary
position for current consumption
measurement as illustrated.
3. Measure the voltage of the rechargeable battery and make sure the result falls in the range
between 1.25V and 1.45V. If the result is out of the range, please replace the rechargeable
battery and check the voltage again (After checking the current consumption, you can
reassemble the original rechargeable battery as it does not mean the battery itself has a
failure).
4
.
Pull out the crown to the second click position.
5. Apply each probe of the tester to the (-) and (+) terminal of the movement as illustrated.
Avoid touching metal part other than the terminals by the probes so as not to short-circuit the
rechargeable battery.
6.
Hold the probes for 2 seconds or more, then push back the crown into the normal position.
7. Wait for approximately 20 to 30 seconds until the current consumption becomes stable. When
the current consumption shows stable measurements, read the measurement.
