DQO-01 DETERMINATION OF THE CHEMICAL DEMAND OF OXYGEN (C.O.D.)
Calculation of the results:
15- The chemical demand of oxygen, C.O.D., is expressed in mg of oxygen per litter, it is calculated by the
following formulae:
Volume of reagents for other ranges of C.O.D. determination
Note: for some of these ranges it could be necessary another shapes of the tubes and metallic bloc. These are
specified here for your information.

where:
c is the concentration in mol/l of the solution of the iron sulphate (II) and of amonium already calculated (3).
V is the demanded volume, in ml, of the sample used for the determination before the dilution (if it exists).
V1 is the demanded volume, in ml, of the solution FAS (3) in the titration to the white.
V2 is the demanded volume, in ml, of the solution FAS (3) in the titration of the samples.
These values can be reduced 1/10 for the test with samples which COD is on the range 0-80.
