This document describes the SENCOR Electric Single Hotplate, models SCP 1503WH, SCP 1504BK, and SCP 1505SS.
Function Description
The SENCOR Electric Single Hotplate is a household appliance designed for cooking. It features a single hotplate (A1) with a diameter of 18 cm, an indicator light (A2), and a temperature control knob (A3). The appliance is intended for use with pots and pans suitable for cooking, preferably with a flat base matching the hotplate's diameter for optimal energy consumption and cooking time. The temperature control knob allows users to adjust the heat level from MIN (minimum) to MAX (maximum), with recommended settings for various cooking tasks such as boiling (MAX), frying (level 5), maintaining a boil (levels 3-4), and keeping food warm (levels 1-2). The indicator light (A2) signals when the thermostat is switching the hotplate on and off to maintain the set temperature.

Usage Features
Before First Use:
- Remove all packaging materials, including promotional tags and labels.
- Wipe the appliance surface with a clean, lightly dampened cloth, then dry it thoroughly.
Operating the Appliance:
- Place the appliance on a horizontal, dry, clean, and stable kitchen countertop or table, ensuring sufficient air circulation (at least 50 cm above the hotplate and 20 cm in all other directions). Do not place it on heat-sensitive surfaces, near flammable materials, or on the drip area of a kitchen sink.
- Ensure the temperature control knob (A3) is set to MIN, and there are no foreign objects on the hotplate (A1).
- Fully unwind the power cord and connect it to a properly grounded power socket. The power cord must not touch the hot surface of the appliance during operation.
- Place a pot or pan with foodstuffs on the hotplate.
- Set the desired temperature level using the temperature control knob (A3). The indicator light (A2) will illuminate when the hotplate is active.
- Regularly check the food's condition while cooking. Do not leave the appliance unsupervised during operation.
- After cooking, set the temperature control knob (A3) to MIN and disconnect the power cord from the power socket by gently pulling the plug, not the cord.
- Allow the appliance to cool down completely before moving, cleaning, or storing, as the hotplate retains residual heat. Do not touch the hot surface immediately after use to avoid burns.
