Overview

This document describes the SENCOR SHB 4330WH Food Chopper, a household appliance designed for chopping various food items.

Function Description

The SENCOR SHB 4330WH is a food chopper primarily used for processing foods such as meat, fruits, vegetables, hard or semi-hard cheese, herbs, and nuts with shells removed. It is not intended for processing extremely hard foods like coffee beans, cocoa beans, ice cubes, or nutmeg. The appliance operates by pressing a pulse button (A1) on the motor unit (A2), which activates the blade assembly (A4) inside the glass bowl (A5). The chopping action is controlled by short pulse switching, which helps prevent excessive pulverization of the food.

Usage Features

The food chopper is designed for ease of use and safety. Before operation, the appliance must be correctly assembled. The glass bowl (A5) is placed into a rubber anti-slip ring (A6) on a dry, even, and stable surface. The blade assembly (A4) is then seated onto the central pin at the bottom of the bowl. After adding food, the bowl is covered with the bowl cover (A3), ensuring it is securely seated. Finally, the motor unit (A2) is placed onto the cover (A3), checking that it slides in properly.

When preparing ingredients, it's recommended to cut food into smaller cubes, approximately 2 x 2 cm, before processing. For vegetables like onion, cutting them into quarters is sufficient. The bowl should be filled to a maximum of 3/4 of its volume.

To operate, the power cord is connected to an electrical socket, and the pulse button (A1) is pressed and held for several seconds. Releasing the button stops the chopper. If the food requires further chopping, the button can be pressed again for a short duration. The maximum continuous operating time is 30 seconds, after which the appliance needs to cool down for at least 2 minutes to prevent overheating.

If food sticks to the inside of the bowl during operation, the chopper should be turned off and disconnected from the power socket. After ensuring the blade assembly has stopped rotating, the motor unit and cover can be removed, and a spatula can be used to clean the inside of the bowl before reassembling and continuing.

After use, the appliance must be disconnected from the power socket, and the blade assembly must have stopped rotating before disassembly. The motor unit and cover are removed first, followed by carefully taking out the blade assembly from the bowl before emptying its contents.

The appliance is designed for household use and should not be used in industrial environments, outdoors, or for purposes other than its intended function. It is important to keep the appliance and its power cord out of reach of children. When handling hot foods, extra caution is advised to prevent scalding; hot foods should be allowed to cool to at least 45 °C before being placed in the bowl. The appliance should never be turned on when empty, as this can negatively affect its lifetime.

Maintenance Features

Proper cleaning and maintenance are crucial for the longevity and safe operation of the SENCOR SHB 4330WH. Before cleaning, ensure the appliance is turned off, disconnected from the power socket, and all rotating parts have come to a complete stop.

The appliance should be disassembled into its individual parts for cleaning. The cover (A3), blade assembly (A4), and glass bowl (A5) should be thoroughly washed in warm water with a neutral kitchen detergent. After washing, these parts should be rinsed with clean water and allowed to dry naturally or thoroughly dried with a wiping cloth. The glass bowl (A5) is dishwasher-safe. The rubber anti-slip ring (A6) can also be washed if soiled. Other parts are not intended for washing in a dishwasher.

A critical safety note for maintenance is to exercise extreme caution when cleaning the blade assembly (A4) due to its sharp edges, to avoid injury.

The outer surface of the motor unit (A2) should be cleaned with a cloth lightly dipped in a weak detergent solution. After applying the solution, wipe the surface with a cloth lightly dampened in clean water, and then wipe dry. The motor unit (A2) and its power cord must never be submerged in water or any other liquid. Solvents, abrasive cleaning products, or similar substances should not be used for cleaning the appliance, as they can damage its surface coat.

When not in use, the appliance should be stored in a dry place, out of reach of children.

In case of a damaged power cord, it must be replaced by an authorized service center or a similarly qualified person to prevent hazardous situations. The appliance should not be used if it is not functioning properly or shows signs of damage. Users are advised not to repair or modify the appliance themselves to prevent voiding legal rights and to ensure safety. All repairs should be performed at an authorized service center.
