CONTROLS ON THE FE149
Тһе FE149 is extremely simple andeasy tooperate. Panelcontrols include the push
button RANGE and FUNCTION switches, meter ZERO ADJ, OHMS ADJ, and the
OFF-ON switch. Тһе following is a brief description of each control and how it
is used.
OFF-ON switch: The OFF-ON switch controls the power tothe circuit inthe FE149
and its recharging system. In the OFF position, the battery is disconnected from
the circuit and the power to the transformer is removed. In the ON position, the
battery voltage is connected to the circuit and AC power is applied from the line to
the transformer for the recharging system. А red fluorescent flag appears in the
switch opening to indicate when the FE149 is on. When measuring DC current, the
OFF-ON switch may be left inthe OFF position as no power tothe circuitis needggm
When measuring AC current, the ЕЕ149 must be turned to the ON position as
internal circuit is used.
ZERO ADJ: The ZERO ADJ is used to position the pointer of the meter over the zero
on the extreme left of the meter scale or to position the pointer on the center zero
when using the zero center ranges of the FE149,
