1. Rotate the side cover lock and remove the
cover of the saw’s body (Figure 8).

cover lock. Adjust tension before operating.

vents using compressed air or a vacuum.

• Wipe off the housing and the plastic
components using a moist, soft cloth. Do
not use strong solvents or detergents on
the plastic housing or plastic components.

damage or cause a shock hazard.
• Routinely clean out the dust and debris
that gathers under the tension housing,
the oil outlet, and around the bar and the
chain sprocket. Otherwise it can jam up
the sprocket, the chain, and the lubrication
system.
