Overview

The SEVENOC INTELLIGENT DIGITAL LOCK, Model Q1 (IDL Series), is a sophisticated standalone access control system designed for enhanced security and convenience. This digital lock offers multiple methods for user authentication, including passwords, fingerprints, and remote control, catering to a variety of access needs.

Function Description

The core functionality of the Q1 digital lock revolves around secure access management. It distinguishes between "Administrator information" and "Unlock information." Administrator information refers to the unique password or fingerprint set by an authorized administrator, which is crucial for managing the lock's settings and users. "Unlock information" encompasses any valid password or fingerprint, whether from an administrator or an ordinary user, that grants access.

The lock operates with a clear and intuitive interface. The "*" key serves as a clear or back key, allowing users to correct entries or navigate back. Pressing it three times consecutively will exit the current operation. The "#" key acts as a confirmation key or a menu function key, used to finalize entries or select options within the settings. Dedicated keys (1, 2, 3, 4) are assigned specific functions: "1" for adding users, "2" for deleting users, "3" for activating Passage Mode, and "4" for enabling Silent Mode.

Upon initial setup, the lock is in its "Original State." To reset the device, a small setup key located behind the back plate in the battery area must be pressed and held for 5 seconds until the voice announcement "Initialization succeeded" is heard. In this original state, the factory administrator initial password is "123456." At this point, only "123456" can open the lock via password, and any fingerprint can grant access. However, once a new administrator password or fingerprint is set, the default "123456" password and unknown fingerprints will no longer work, ensuring enhanced security.

Usage Features

The Q1 lock offers robust user management capabilities, allowing for the registration of up to three administrators. Administrators can be registered using either a password or a fingerprint. To register an administrator password, the sequence * # 123456 # new admin passcode # is used, followed by entering the new password twice for confirmation. For fingerprint administrator registration, the sequence * # 123456 # Place USER FINGER to the Sensor on the Digital Lock is followed by placing the user's finger on the sensor twice.

Adding ordinary users is equally straightforward. Users can be added via password, fingerprint, or remote control. To add a user password, an administrator first enters * # [admin password] # 1 enter user password #, then the user enters their desired password twice. For adding a user fingerprint, the administrator enters * # [admin password] # Place USER FINGER to the Sensor on the Digital Lock, and the user places their finger on the sensor twice. Remote control users are added by the administrator entering * # [admin password] # 1 press Remote Control Button and then pressing the button on the remote control.

Deleting users is also managed by the administrator. The sequence * # [admin password] # 2 enter no user information # is used, followed by specifying the user numbers to be deleted. For example, * # 147258 # 2 3 # would delete users 2 and 3.

The lock includes two special operational modes: Passage Mode and Silent Mode. Passage Mode, enabled by an administrator using * # [admin password] # 3, allows the lock to remain unlocked after each successful access. This means the door will not automatically re-lock, providing convenience in situations where frequent entry and exit are required. To disable Passage Mode, the administrator uses the same sequence. It's important to note that when Passage Mode is active, the lock must be manually locked to secure the door.

Silent Mode, enabled by an administrator using * # [admin password] # 4, mutes all unlocking sounds. This feature is useful for maintaining quiet environments, such as during late-night entries or in noise-sensitive areas. Disabling Silent Mode uses the same sequence.

The Q1 lock also incorporates security features to prevent unauthorized access. If an incorrect password is entered more than five times consecutively, the keyboard will lock for one minute, preventing any further operation during this period. A "password peeping prevention function" allows users to input random numbers before and after their actual password, followed by "#" to confirm, making it harder for onlookers to discern the correct password. The actual password must be embedded within the entered sequence.

Maintenance Features

The device is designed with user convenience and longevity in mind. If there is no operation for more than 12 seconds, the system will automatically exit the current menu or setting, conserving power and enhancing security.

A crucial maintenance feature is the low voltage alarm. When the battery voltage drops below 4.8V, the lock will automatically trigger an alarm every time it is opened. After the alarm initiates, the lock can still be opened approximately 200 times. However, after these 200 operations, unlocking will be delayed, signaling an urgent need to replace the batteries to ensure continuous and reliable operation.

The lock also supports language switching. By entering "555666888#" in the initial state, users can switch between Chinese and English language prompts, making the device accessible to a broader user base.
