7.2 Cleaning the housing and control panel (as
required)
1. Clean the oven housing including the control panel with a slightly damp,
lint-free cloth.
2. If this proves insuf cient, add some mild detergent to the damp cloth.
3. Wipe dry with a dry cloth.
8 Trouble-shooting
Solving problems yourself
WARNING!
Risk of injury. The oven does not contain any
components that you can service or repair yourself.
Never use a defective oven.
Do not attempt to carry out any repair work
yourself. If a defect is found, contact our
Customer Service Department.
Before you contact our Customer Service or send the oven in, please use
the following table to check whether the problem can be solved at home.
Problem Cause Remedy
The oven does
not switch on.
The power plug
is not inserted
/ the unit is not
connected to the
mains.
Insert the plug into the wall
outlet.
Smoke is
detected during
operation.
Fat is dripping
onto the heating
elements.
Switch the oven off.
Let it cool down completely.
Clean the heating elements.
The food is
overcooked / too
dark.
The pre-set
cooking time is
too long / the
temperature is too
high.
Switch the oven off.
Dispose of the burnt food.
Select a shorter cooking time
or lower temperature for the
next cooking cycle.
