  A bad smell from your Shark vacuum could be due to a few reasons: * The dust cup may be full. Empty it after each use. * The filters may need cleaning. Rinse and air-dry them before reinstalling. * Check the odour neutraliser cartridge with fragrance. Make sure it is installed correctly in the nozzle. * If the fragrance has been installed for 6 months or longer, consider replacing it. If it has been installed for less than 6 months, remove it and check to see if it is still emitting the neutraliser scent. If the neutraliser is still emitting a scent but you dislike it, consider turning the intensity down, or reinstall the dial in the nozzle without the puk. If the cartridge with fragrance is not emitting a scent, consider replacing it.
