Maintenance Features
Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of the washing machine.
- General Cleaning: The machine should be unplugged and the water supply turned off before any cleaning or maintenance. Solvents, abrasive cleaners, glass cleaners, or all-purpose cleaning agents should not be used on the machine.
- Water Inlet Filters: These filters prevent dirt from entering the machine and should be cleaned every 2 months, or if the machine is not receiving sufficient water. This involves unscrewing the inlet hoses, pulling out the filters with pliers, cleaning them with a soft brush and soapy water, and then re-inserting them.
- Pump Filter: The pump filter system prolongs the life of the pump by preventing lint from entering. It is located behind a cover on the front-lower right corner and should be cleaned every 2 months. The process involves opening the cover, draining any residual water into a container, loosening and removing the filter by turning it anticlockwise, cleaning it with a soft brush, and then re-fitting it.
- Detergent Drawer: Detergent residue can build up over time. The drawer should be removed and cleaned with water and a soft brush every 2 months. Care should be taken to prevent residue from falling into the machine. The detergent drawer should not be washed in a dishwasher.
- Flush Stopper: The flush stopper in the detergent drawer should be disassembled and cleaned to remove softener residue, then re-fitted properly.
- Body: The external casing can be cleaned with a mild, non-abrasive cleaning agent or soap and water, then wiped dry with a soft cloth.
- Drum: Metallic objects should not be left in the drum to prevent rust stains. Non-chlorine cleaning agents should be used for rust stains, avoiding wire wool or similar hard objects.
The manual also provides troubleshooting steps for common issues, such as the machine not starting, not taking in water, not discharging water, vibrating, or excessive foam. It also lists automatic fault warnings (E01, E02, E03, E04) indicated by flashing LEDs, along with their possible causes and recommended actions.
