Maintenance Features
Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of the washing machine:
- General Cleaning: Unplug the machine and turn off the water supply before cleaning. Do not use solvents, abrasive cleaners, glass cleaners, or all-purpose cleaning agents on plastic surfaces.
- Water Inlet Filters: Clean these filters every 2 months to prevent dirt and foreign materials from entering the machine. This involves unscrewing the water inlet hose(s), removing the filters with long-nosed pliers, cleaning them with a soft brush and soapy water, and then re-inserting them.
- Pump Filter: Clean the pump filter every 2 months. It is located behind a cover on the front-lower right corner. Users can open the cover with a washing powder spade or liquid detergent level plate, place a container to collect residual water, loosen and remove the filter by turning it anticlockwise, clean it with a soft brush, and then re-fit it.
- Detergent Drawer: Remove and clean the detergent drawer every 2 months to clear accumulated residue. Pull the drawer forward, gently press down, and pull it out. Clean with water and a soft brush, ensuring no residue falls into the machine. Do not wash the drawer in a dishwasher.
- Flush Stopper: Remove and disassemble the flush stopper from the detergent drawer, clean it thoroughly to remove softener residue, and then refit it.
- Body: Clean the external casing with a mild, non-abrasive cleaning agent or soap and water, then wipe dry with a soft cloth.
- Drum: Avoid leaving metallic objects in the drum to prevent rust stains. Use a non-chlorine cleaning agent for rust stains and do not use wire wool or hard objects.
- Periodic Cleaning: It is recommended to perform periodic cleaning every 2 months using the "Drum Clean" program or "Cotton 90" if "Drum Clean" is not available. Limescale removers specifically for washing machines can be used if needed.
The manual emphasizes that installation and repair procedures should only be carried out by an authorized service agent to avoid risks and voiding the warranty. The minimum period for supplying spare parts for the household washing machine is 10 years.
